About BMA
The Bisaya Medical Association, USA, Inc. (BMA) is a 501c(3) non-profit organization incorporated under the laws of Florida on October 8, 1997.
It was founded by a group of dedicated physicians passionate about advancing medical education and skills within the medical profession, providing scholarships to deserving students, and delivering healthcare to underprivileged individuals in the Philippines through annual medical missions and other healthcare programs.
Their dedication and passion inspire respect and admiration, and their work has facilitated accessible medical and surgical interventions and distributed medicines, medical/surgical supplies, and equipment to needy communities. The organization’s annual medical conventions and seminars serve as platforms for social interaction and continuing medical education for the multi-specialty.
BMA’s annual medical/surgical missions, which have positively impacted various regions in the Philippines, result from collaborative solid efforts with Local Government Units (LGUs) and Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs). This cooperative spirit, deeply ingrained in BMA’s philanthropic efforts, makes everyone involved feel part of a larger, impactful mission. Membership is open to all Visayan-speaking Physicians and other Allied Healthcare Professionals.
